and co-sponsored by Mississippi Parkside Marina while indoor activities will
take place at Slippery's tavern.

- River Rat Rally, This non sponsored event is a guys only springtime "Shake
down cruise". Though loosely organized, this event has been repeated
for well over a decade and takes its participants on a journey from Wabasha,
usually to the north to Red Wing, then returns to Wabasha. The day starts
around 8:00 A.M. with breakfast at the Pioneer Club. Launching and departure
takes place from Parkside Marina at approx. 10:00 A.M. The rest is improvised
with stops at various sand beaches, bars, and restaurants, and finishes with
a Rat Rally party at the Pioneer Club. No R.S.V.P.s are required for this
one so whether you have a ski boat, a family day cruiser, or a fire breathing
thunder boat, mark this date on your calendar. Just a note, the ladies are
welcome to the Rat Rally party and for the pre rally breakfast. (It's even
rumored that there have once or twice been female stowaways.)

Friday and Saturday, July 30 & 31, 2004- Riverboat Days, - Riverboats, while once providing the heartbeat to commerce
and shipping along the Mississippi, continue to make frequent stops at Wabasha.
Now though, the riverboats have all but abandoned their historic cargo of
supplies and products and now bring passengers eager to explore the treasures
and sites of our historic town.
Once every year Wabasha's residents and guests take time out to celebrate
the existence of these great vessels with the Riverboat days celebration.
Events include a parade, fishing contest, pancake breakfast, classic car show,
an arts and crafts show, nightly street dances, and many specials put on by
the local merchants.-
